I wanted to take a moment to celebrate my clients, who are putting themselves out there and boldly expanding into their next evolution. Especially as daughters of immigrants and women of color, it can be so hard to cultivate inner safety in our bodies to go beyond the “secure,” respectable options that have been expected of us. I'm so proud of the visionary, deeply caring, powerful, brilliant, creative entrepreneurs they are!

Everyone keeps telling you to stop listening to your fears. But what if that's the problem? What if your body is actually trying to tell you something important? What if your body’s not holding you back, but guiding you toward what it needs to keep going? That feeling of hesitation, tightness, avoiding, or wanting to freeze isn’t a weakness. Your nervous system is signaling something important…something your body wants to urgently communicate with you.

In my family, I grew up hearing money messages like:

• “You have to work REALLY hard to earn money.”

• “You have to get a safe, high-paying job, and then you’ll be set.”

This last quarter has been full of life transitions, pivots, and expansion. And through it all, these brilliant visionary entrepreneurs, mothers, and creatives have shown up with so much grace, loving connection to their bodies, their voices, and continued to become the person Little Them wished existed. Here are some of the powerful life wins that my clients are celebrating! 

In the spirit of mid-autumn festival 🌕 and the transition into fall, I’m so excited to celebrate some of the incredible business wins my clients have created the past three months.  These are visionary daughters of immigrants, eldest daughters, entrepreneurs, and creatives who are building their businesses in ways that are bold, life-giving, sustainable, and true to them. Here are some highlights from Q3 🎉👇🏼

A client once told me, "I know I'm qualified. I know I have something powerful to share and offer. Why do I keep avoiding promoting my services and my brand?"

She had multiple degrees and credentials. She was a lecturer at a university and developed frameworks that were now being used in programs around the world. Her Google Drive was filled with detailed strategic plans and documents that she created over the many years she'd been preparing to launch her consultancy publicly. The problem was, when it came time to actually promote herself and sell her consulting services, she instead found herself: creating yet another strategic plan document, refining her frameworks, and developing a user research plan to gather more data. After years of planning but no action, she knew she was in an avoidance loop. 🔁

Have you ever felt that “I’m not ready yet” voice pop up right before you’re about to take a big step in your business? One of my clients noticed this every time she was about to do something that felt risky or required her to step into more visibility. Such as…Launching a new offer, selling her high-ticket services, or sharing a side of herself she’d never shown publicly. On the surface, it felt like intuition. Her gut and body sensations told her: wait, not yet. But when we looked closer, we discovered her nervous system was in conflict.

If you're multi-passionate and multi-talented, the very thing that makes you brilliant can also leave you overwhelmed. Too many good ideas. Too many directions. Which makes it hard to choose one, show up consistently, and actually sell. What you really want is to feel clear and focused. Not just inspired and busy, but moving forward with confident, aligned action that leads to results.

Having enough good ideas was never my problem in business. It's probably not yours either. The brilliant, deeply creative, and overqualified folks I work with usually don't struggle with ideas. If anything, they have too many. Too many projects they want to start. Too many problems they feel they need to fix. And not enough clarity on what to focus on first. "I should revamp my website, I should post more content to get my work out there, I should go to more networking events to market myself, I should start my newsletter and grow my email list.” Maybe if I had one more hour…a little more energy…I could push through and get everything done. I know this feeling because I've been there.

Growing up, I didn’t question myself much. I knew how to study hard, follow directions, and be an excellent student. But being a “good student” didn’t require me to trust my own thoughts or make high-stakes decisions. It just required memorizing, executing, and pushing through. So when I carried that same mentality into entrepreneurship, I thought it would guarantee success. But eventually I learned was: What got me here, won’t get me where I want to go.

I still remember the morning of my first speaking engagement years ago. I had been mentally preparing for weeks, and was soo excited for this opportunity because I knew I was meant to do this work. During multiple guided somatic visualizations, I had seen a vision of myself holding a microphone (pregnant) on stage, and I knew deep down in my bones this was a great next step for me. 🤰🏻🎤 But the night before, I felt a tightening sensation in my stomach, tingly nervous energy in my arms and feet...and I wondered if I was actually ready.

Some seasons stretch you in every direction. 😮‍💨 Maybe you're navigating a breakup, caring for a parent, or moving to a new city while growing a business that matters deeply to you. Or maybe you're balancing motherhood with work, moving through your fertility journey, or recovering from a season of burnout. You’re making decisions across lifetimes of expectation and identities, while trying to stay present enough to create. And that presence, the one your work needs to thrive, can feel slippery when you’re constantly adapting, adjusting, tending.

Lately, in coaching calls, I’ve been hearing something familiar. The folks I tend to attract—high-achieving, empathetic, creative daughters of immigrants and women of color—are incredibly self-aware and are years into their healing journey. They've gone through years of therapy or healing. They’ve gotten to know their patterns. They’ve unpacked the fear, the pressure, the perfectionism. They have language for what’s happening under the surface. And now...they’re ready to make moves and take action.

You know what you have to offer is powerful and transformative. You bring your own unique blend of skills, creativity, and lived experiences to help your clients get real results. So why does talking about your offering feel so complicated? Especially when it's a high-ticket offering. The founders I work with are deeply thoughtful. They’ve crafted their offering with care and discernment, because they genuinely want people to feel held. They’re not necessarily trying to overdeliver, but they want to honor their full vision and bring their clients real value. But eventually, the offer starts to feel like it’s carrying all the bells and whistles, overstuffed with "value," trying to do too much.

Ever catch yourself saying, “I just need to refine it a little bit more” and suddenly it’s three hours later…and you still haven’t posted the thing? Maybe you have something special to offer, and a part of you is ready to share. But another part says wait. Let’s refine it more. Let's prepare just a bit more. Plan out exactly what I'm going to say. Do some more market research. Make sure it's good enough. Make sure it’s safe. All that thinking, all that planning…it can feel like forward motion. Like you’re doing the right thing without risking too much.

As an eldest daughter/Capricorn rising/first gen immigrant who’s used to being very future-focused and goal oriented, always looking at the next goal and the next milestone, it’s taken A LOT for me to be able to celebrate my micro wins and the present moment. But it’s also been one of the most powerful rituals for me to feel more proud of myself, more peace, confidence, and trust knowing that what I’m doing is working, and have more evidence to show my brain and my body that things are happening. This is why my clients and I regularly celebrate their wins, and I’ve seen this transform their relationship to themselves, how they see themselves and their work, and their momentum to keep going.

You’ve worked so hard to be here. All that inner work…the therapy, healing, learning to unlink your worth from your productivity, embracing your softness, reprioritizing your values, learning boundaries, reconnecting with your roots and creativity. And now that you finally feel more peace and present beyond the survival mode you were stuck in, the thought of growing a profitable creative business that meets your financial goals sounds daunting. Not because you can’t do it, but you’re afraid of sacrificing your peace.

When you redefine what success means to you and live your life from that new definition, Not everyone will understand. When you choose to build your business from an aligned, more intentional place honoring your capacity and nervous system…when you say no to urgency, Not everyone will understand. And yes, while your community or entrepreneurial friends might cheer you on for resting or slowing down, the subtle pressure can often come from home. That tension can feel like a weight you carry quietly, because you want to honor their story, but also create a new path that works for you.

Sometimes, you know exactly what to do next. The step is clear: post that thing, send that message, make that move. But still, you freeze. You stall. You find yourself back at the drawing board, thinking just a little more, refining just a little more. Maybe you’re scared. Scared of what people might say. Scared of messing up. Scared of hearing no. Or maybe it’s something else entirely: The fear of it actually working. Of your calendar filling up. Of your to-do list multiplying. Of momentum demanding more than you can give. Not because success itself is scary, but the sacrifice you imagine it will demand.

This is for you if you have a big vision…but feel stuck when it comes to: Putting yourself out there and being seen, signing clients, raising your rates, making more money without burning out or taking your next aligned step. Whether you’re second-guessing your direction, tinkering with your offer, feeling resistance around visibility or money, or scared of burning out again, I see you. I feel you. Entrepreneurship can ask so much of us. It often pulls us outside our comfort zones every single day. 🫠 But how do you keep growing when you also want to prioritize your joy, well-being, time with loved ones, and peace? One thing I know for sure: Mindset and strategy alone are not enough.
