My December 2025 recap
It's the last day of 2025, and feeling this relaxed at this time of the year is a new sensation in my body.
Last week, I was lounging at a hot mineral spring resort in the California desert. My body wrapped in a hotel robe, it was chilly 60s misty, perfect level of cold to balance the warm waters.
I felt a deep sigh of exhaleβ¦I felt at ease.
I had just received a deep tissue massage so the water felt extra nourishing, velvety, silky to the touch. A womb-like feeling of being held.
My end-of-year wasn't always like this. In fact, for most of my life, December was usually a very stressful time.
In corporate/tech startups, Q4 was the biggest push of the year.
Especially being in sales and growth strategy roles, my annual pay depended on how I performed until 11:59pm on December 31, when the quota period ended.
This meant that even if I took time off for the holidays, I wasn't really off and had to push through exhaustion to stay hired, especially with repeated rounds of aggressive layoffs happening. π΅βπ«
My breaking point (or one of my breaking points lol) was December 2023, two years ago.
I was 5 months pregnant and in between Christmas presents and family festivities, I was working overtime on my laptop trying to close deals and stay hired.
My body was hurting, and I hated that I couldn't be more present with my family and felt like I couldn't enjoy my pregnancy.
I used to pride myself for always finishing strong as a top performer, usually getting promoted after my Q4 performance.
But this time, the promotion and the raise felt empty.
Not because I didn't appreciate it (I worked really hard for it).
It just was not aligned with my vision for my life. Especially as I was about to become a mom.
I told myself, by this time next year, I will not be relying on corporate to make my money.
I will create a thriving, fulfilling, flexible business that allows me to be a present mama to my body (and feel creatively alive).
I was done ignoring my body's signals for the sake of trying to keep my job.
I was done relying on corporate for my only form of safety and security.
I was done waiting and postponing bringing my wild vision into reality.
I was DONE. π€
Fast forward 2 years, and my December this year has looked like:
β€οΈβπ₯ Got back from a beautiful, soul-nourishing family trip to Hawaii where I got to fully enjoy and be off the computer when I wanted to, plus spend quality time with bestie. Teo was so happy. Plus, the fooood omg.
β€οΈβπ₯ Enjoyed a wild, transformative trip to Egypt, where I enjoyed a beautiful retreat experience, explored inside the Great Pyramids of Giza and awe-inspiring temples in Luxor, and visited the Dendera Temple of Hathor, which I had been dreaming to go to for years. (Still processing Egypt! Will share more)
β€οΈβπ₯ Snuck away to the hot springs with Nick on a romantic getaway, where we also somehow binged 5.5 hours of Dune 1 and Dune 2β¦π€£
β€οΈβπ₯ Felt my body and spirit come alive while practicing traditional Korean dance at the studio, rehearsing for an upcoming performance of μ§μ μΆ€ Korean gong dance, feeling so connected to my ancestors.
β€οΈβπ₯ Feeling at home in my Venus energy: the relaxed, magnetic part of me that's fertile with creative feminine energy and feels pleasure in beauty and expression
β€οΈβπ₯ Sat front row at Teo's first recital, where he performed as part of his daycare's holiday programβ¦it involved him riding a rocking horse on stage, too cute!
β€οΈβπ₯ Took most of the month off work, while still supporting my clients, envisioning my 2026 business strategy, and preparing for an easeful launch of a new offering that I'm feeling so lit up byβ¦(more below π)
Sometimes I have to remind myself that it was just 2 years ago, that this is everything I had been visualizing, calling in, and taking intentional action to ground this into reality.
Don't get me wrong, it's not 100% rainbows and roses. Teo's in full on toddler mode right now and has boundless energy IYKYK (he's an Aries/Leo/Scorpio + Sacral Generator + dragon bbβ¦π«£).
He's been going through a sleep regression, and his daycare is closed for the holidays. Plus, there's been some family stuff, and holidays were a bit crazy.
AND YET. I feel like myself (most times haha).
Like I can do it. I can feel the spectrum of feelings β the frustration, the anger, the sadness, and also the pleasure, the ease, the awe, my heart bursting with love.
I feel grateful for my past self for creating the business and life I've been dreaming of, that allows me to feel deeply, express myself freely, and enjoy my daily reality, even as I call in bigger dreams.
In 2026, I'm all about expanding with ease.
With pleasure. With spacious joy.
Calling in more, while doing less.
And I want to do this with like-hearted brilliant women who are also looking to expand with deep conviction in what they are birthing into the world, with ease, pleasure, and relaxed, grounded confidence.
