Embracing My Femininity in Entrepreneurship
As we finish out this last month-ish of the Year of the Snake, I can feel myself being asked to shed the final layers of myself that apparently still need to dissolve. š©
Since early December, so many things I thought I knew just burned away.
What I thought my 2026 business strategy would be
What I planned for my Egypt experience
What life I thought I wanted
What I believed was my highest vision
All of it shifted.
I could have fought to keep my original plan, but I knew that would have made this season more stressful than it needed to be.
So instead, I surrendered.
It hasn't been a perfectly smooth process, but I do feel like I have learned to surf the waves of uncertainty and emotions much better than my 20-year-old self could ever.
That version of me would have white-knuckled her tight grip on the plan and resisted it being unceremoniously swept away.
(If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen that Turkish Airlines lost my baggage š¤Ŗ, so I did not have my luggage for the first half of my Egypt trip. It completely threw off my carefully crafted plans. And yet, that detour led me to the most aligned, meant-to-be experiences, people, and even my 2026 business strategy.)
Feeling Safe Enough to Surrender
Something I've been asking myself is:
If I am gripping the steering wheel that tightly, how is my highest self, God, spirit, or my ancestors supposed to guide me?
The white-knuckling, hustling, unstoppable eldest daughter immigrant version of me, with the chronic back pain, wore her armor and played by the masculine rules to get to where she needed to get to.
When my body eventually pulled the emergency brake and led me into somatic healing, I began to feel my body soften, my heart open, and the power of my femininity and creative flow return.
But when it came to business, money, and security, the masculine part of me historically always took over.
That part did not trust my feminine side to make money.
And yet, after multiple failed attempts at making my business financially viable, repeated burnouts, and returns to corporate, I was forced to try a different way.
Then I became pregnant. Then I became a mother.
This was when I experienced firsthand the sheer power of my softness. My femininity. The power of relaxing into expansion. Of trusting, surrendering, and inviting ease, flow, sensuality, and pleasure.
I was in awe of what my body was capable of.
And I found myself wondering:
What would it look like if this relaxed, confident, grounded, feminine mother led my business?
The one who gave birth with confidence, giving zero fucks, and so deeply at home in her body.
The one who trusted spirit and ancestors, communicated with her baby to bring him earthside, what if she drove the ship of my business?
So, I'm choosing to yield to my expansion by letting what needs to fall away actually do so.
I'm embracing my femininity in my business in a deeper way.
Not femininity as only soft, but also fierce, sensual, fiery, the full emotional range. All of it.
I now see that 2025 was about building foundations.
Clearing excess. Strengthening capacity. Creating safety.
So that 2026 can be about expansion.
So that my truest, most expansive, grounded self can lead.
