“I should be able to do this on my own.”
There’s a quiet kind of pride that comes from doing things on your own.
The kind that formed out of necessity, when you were always the one holding it all together. The translator. The peacekeeper. The responsible one.
You knew how to read the room before you knew how to ask for what you needed.

As an eldest daughter and noona (big sister) to two younger brothers, I know this pattern well.
When I first became an entrepreneur, I defaulted to the same pattern: Handle it myself. Figure it out. Push through. I had the skills, mindset, belief, and work ethic. But I remember a moment, six years ago, during a slow sales month in my first business, when I spiraled.
My nervous system was fried. Instead of surrounding myself with support, I tried to think harder and hustle my way out. I was so hard on myself.
Eventually, I burned out and went back to corporate. Not because I wasn’t capable, but because I was exhausted.
I was tired of feeling overwhelmed as to how I was going to achieve long-term financial stability through my business.
So when I rebuilt my business while pregnant two years ago, I made a different choice.
Not because I didn’t know what I was doing. I did. In fact, I felt more confident than ever.
But because I couldn’t afford to burn out again.
Because I didn’t want to miss being present with my son.
Because I didn’t want success at the cost of peace, presence, or joy.
This time, I let myself be supported. Not just in strategy, but in the moments of doubt and pressure. This support has helped me stay in my zone of genius, not survival mode.
It's helped me make clearer decisions. It's helped me work less and make more money.
